I see him on C-span and the guy seems to be totally clueless. He cannot go beyond the talking points and he doesn't seem to understand those.
Are there any jokes out your way like "George Allen is so stupid that .......".
Sorry, but I just had to get this out of my system. Is his only claim to fame his father?

3. laugh on, you just described popular opinion on george bush circa 1997
george allen is the natural heir to george bush. he speaks the same language, is smarter than his mouth and has the same type of religious right supporting him.

those who support bush whole-heartedly see more similarities in allen and bush than any other potential GOP candidate for president, and that includes jeb bush too.

4. We don't think about him enough to come up with jokes.
Edited on Fri May-13-05 09:18 PM by autorank
He's a jack ass and will lose next time out. There is one simple reason he was elected, he has the same name as his father who coached the stupid Redskins (except when Gibbs coached the 1st time and Cooke owned them, that was a great team/organization). That's right, the old name recognition nepotism.

What you see and hear is who he is, no other explanation. The guy was elected against Chuck Robb, D, a sitting Senator. Robb went into the election feuding with former Gov. Wilder (D) and caught getting/giving massages to a really hot much younger lady (nobody believed the massages were solely therapeutic). Allen barely won.

We'll see who runs against him in 2006. It won't be a good year for Allen.

15. I don't think he is what you see.
He just looks like a person who smiles in public at strangers but behind closed doors, he beats his wife and kids. To me, he seems like he is a Jeckle and Hyde. His public persona is the opposite of his real personality.

In addition he hasn't met a Bush policy he doesn't love.

I hate the shit eating grin he perpetually wears. You can tell he doesn't ride motorcycles, he doesn't have bugs on his teeth.
I wonder if he has a different face he keeps in a jar by the door at home for funerals and solemn occasions.

...he is a major embarassment. Making jokes about him calls to attention that he exists and I try hard to forget that sad fact.

Because of President Reagan's steadfast determination, hundreds of millions of people tasting that sweet nectar of liberty in central Europe are now friends and allies," said Senator Allen.

Ronald Reagan's election changed the dynamic of the Cold War from one of containment and co-existence to the advancement of freedom. As a result, hundreds of millions of people in Central Europe, once behind the Iron Curtain, now taste the sweet nectar of liberty, have joined NATO, and are true friends and allies.

10. George Allen vs. Mark Warner
Since George Allen is such an idiot it really shouldn't take a lot of work for Mark Warner to defeat Allen in Allen's Senate re-election bid, that is if Warner has the guts to run against him. As a Virginian and a Democrat, I think Warner should run against Allen, and end any chance that Allen might run for president. Warner is a better politician than Allen, and Warner should forget about his desire to run for president, and end Allen's time in DC. Hillary has the presidential nomination locked up anyway.

But I have to disagree on Hillary - at least, I would like to hope she doesn't have it locked up.

19. Hi redsoxdem !
:hi: Welcome to DU........

What worries me, is that an Allen v. Warner presidential slugfest is predicted on both sides of the aisle for 2008.

Hillary's a sweetheart, but I think the state of NY is going to make her promise not to run in 2008 before they re-elect her in 2006.

We shall see :)

A complete buffoon with just as irritating a voice. Plus, he's got that glazed-over Santorum look.

14. The accent is as fake as Dubya's
Allen isn't from VA, he grew up waving Confederate flags in California where racism was his hobby.

He has this slit in his backside that fits Cheney's hand just right. He would make another good puppet president for PNAC. He doesn't have the backbone to be a good statesman, it was removed to install the puppet controls.
I think they want to shift from one George to another, If Dubya is George the second, that would make Allen, "King George the turd."

He was probably the only kid in California with Confederate flag bumper stickers on his car.

Another classmate in the Palos Verdes High Class of 70 was Daulton Lee, a drug dealer, who later was convicted of espionage and given a life sentence.

Guess which one got into more trouble in high school.
