Write a letter of thanks to Senator Warner tonight
Yes, I'm serious. The issue of torture is bigger even than our party. It is also a huge issue for anyone who has a loved one overseas. Please support the Republicans like McCain and Warner who are voicing dissent against going against the Geneva Convention. We have so many people overseas we can't not support them in protecting our people. We need to do everything we can to protect our armed forces overseas. They don't have a choice. Until we get Democrats in, neither do we.

principles been through the entire * misAdministration?

While I applaud his stance, what took him so long? We've had to deal with torture, violating the Geneva Convention, lack of body armor for the troops, contaminated water and food being given to the troops by Halliburton, and massive corruption. What took J. Warner so long to find his voice?

3. It's been there throughout. He's only one guy.
At least on this issue, he's been pretty good.

5. Screw him.
The "dissent" is a carefully managed sham designed to give the impression that the Senate is not going to do exactly what Karl Rove tells them to do, but when it becomes necessary they will cave in completely, if they haven't already.

7. And there it is.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2006/09/22/AR2006092201355.html

Until the breakthrough was announced Thursday, Democrats had let Republicans fight among themselves as they backed McCain and Sens. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.) and John W. Warner (R-Va.) in their struggle with the White House. Now that McCain and his fellow dissidents have joined hands with Bush, it will be difficult to attack the deal, Democrats acknowledged.

Mission accomplished. Hope you didn't send that email yet.

6. Torture Bill
Hello Everyone,

Please write your House of Representative and Senator for
your state. Please let them know how serious the Torture bill
is. Let them know we do not want it to pass, and we will keep
it in mind when we go to the polls in November. Think of how
our soldiers will be treated in future wars. It is bad enough
they are fighting a war they should not be in now.
