So who are we going to run in '08 for Senate? |
|

1. He'd be a good Senator |
|
but its Mark Warner's if he wants it. He'd win the primary in a walk and probably beat anyone the GOP ran. Is two years enough "time with the family" ?

I forgot to mention ... all this is dependent upon John Warner retiring. Im guessing he will but its not a given.

3. Yea I was basically presuming that he would |
|
but I dont guess its a given I just consider his recent breaking with the GOP as an indication of possible retirement and as for Mark Warner I really dont think he would want to be Jr. Senator from VA I think he will either find his way to a Vice Presidential nomination or he will run for Governor again in 2009.

4. It Will Be Interesting |
|
It seems to me the Virginia Democratic party is very weak. I am hoping Mark Warner or Tim Kaine will start promoting some folks locally (we have the VA congressional election next year) which will lead to strong candidates.
Personally, I would like to see Leslie Byrne run for Senate.

10. I think Mark Warner would be our strongest candidate. |
|
He said he isn't running for POTUS, but he also said he has more races ahead of him.
Maybe we can put Deeds in Tim Kaine's seat in '09.
