Prince William County Democrats say 2004 is their year.
The Democrats haven't won a presidential election in Virginia since 1964, but anger over the current administration has brought more volunteers than local Democrats can remember.

"There have been an awful lot of volunteers coming out of the woodwork," said county Democratic Committee Chair Rick Copeland. "They are very angry. They're very frustrated with (the current administration.)"

The county Democratic headquarters on Dale Boulevard now has a full-time staff, and volunteers can be found there late at night preparing mailings for Kerry-Edwards and area Democratic congressional candidates Ken Longmyer and James Socos, Copeland said.

"That (staffing level) is unprecedented in the near-term history, as far as I can remember," Copeland said.

The Prince William County Young Democrats have also seen an increase in membership, Copeland said.

all throughout northern virginia, i'd say kerry/edwards bumper stickers outnumber bush ones 10 to 1....now south/west virginia, thats another story.
