I used to live on the Virginia line, and knew this wonderful person. I only found out today that she had passed on, and she was not elderly. I used to see Anita at the "Cricket", a historical place, and play pool.
If you've been to Pocahontas Virginia, likely you met Anita Brown, or visited the Cricket, and knew her wonderful hospitality. She was a very very strong woman, and became mayor of that town for awhile.
The Virginia State Legislature honored her with a resolution.
