A Fairfax woman arrived home to find a Manassas Park man stuck under her minivan after police say he was dragged two miles from the scene of a crash on a Prince William County road.
Prince William County Police say 39-year-old Carroll Humphries was hit by a Toyota Corolla as he tried to cross Centreville Road in Manassas through traffic on Monday evening.
The driver of the Corolla stopped, but police say Humphries was then hit by a Nissan Quest as he lay on the ground. Police say the driver didn't realize what had happened until she arrived at home and found the man under the minivan.
The woman called police, but Humphries died as he was being taken to the hospital. No one has been charged in the incident, but an investigation is continuing.
