I'm a NYC transplant to NOVA in the early '80's. It took me a while to drop my attitude and really appreciate this place, which I have for many years. My level of gratitude for living her has gone even higher as I watched, supported, and participated to a degree in the Virginia Democratic effort. I think it was well run, spirited, and made me think that there is a real basis for the Democratic revival in this state. The demographics are on our side and the people and structure in place are very impressive.
I also think that there is something very wrong with these stupid voting machines. I remember in the primaries even the Republicans complained. I just don't buy my precinct ratio or total (I poll watched).
Since we have the guv, maybe somebody will do a discrete Virginia-like investigation in the spirit of that truth seeker of old, Thomas Jefferson.
This is a great place to live that has gotten even greater now that I've seen just how first rate the Democrats are!
