Dear Friend,

I am more than annoyed to hear pundits talk about how the last election was lost on “Values and Morals.” I am one Democrat who believes we always have spoken to values. We treat people with fairness, dignity and respect! We believe in economic justice, and we want to leave the planet in better shape than we found it. These are our basic values and morals. We need people running for office who can be strong advocates for these values. This is why I’m running for Lieutenant Governor. Do you believe that your tax dollars should be used to send jobs overseas? Are middle-income families losing the opportunity to send their kids to college because of rising tuitions? I am running for Lieutenant Governor because I believe the commonwealth of Virginia must be about opportunity, not exclusion. This is more than a campaign, it is a cause. Help me find solutions, not just fault in the status quo. You and I can work to define what kind of Democratic Party we want in Virginia. We could drift ever rightward, duplicating Republican efforts (and losing elections), or we can stand up for our values and beliefs in a way that Virginians can embrace. 1. Well, she's far better than Chap Peterson, that's for sure...

He certainly is not my idea of a Democratic candidate. I forget the name of the woman from down south that will also run in the primary next year for LG for the Dems.

Tim Kaine has to win next fall. Kilgore is an ass and the last thing Virginia needs is a return to a Republican governor. Not to mention, Tim Kaine is simply a great person, IMHO.

I'm very much leaning toward Leslie at this point. Don't know of any others beyond these three that are going for LG.
