Misleading information on King County Elections website

I noticed a discrepancy on King County Elections website regarding the October 20th deadline for in-person registration.

In some places they have correct language about "People not currently registered in the State of Washington, have until Oct 20 to register in person."

However, on some pages, in some instances even on the same page as the above, they state "new Washington residents only," "Last day for new WA residents to register in person" or even more specifically "If you miss the 30-day deadline and are new to the state, you can still sign up in time for the election, but you must register in person at the King County Elections Office no later than 15 days before the election."

That wording excludes current residents and it is possible that someone could read that and erroneously think they can no longer register to vote in the Nov 4th election.

After noticing this early today, I called their office and spoke to a person who said he was aware of the problem and has contacted the web master to change the wording to the correct one. I also called Gregoire's campaign and a friend called the local Obama headquarters and the staff at both of those said they would follow up on this issue. In fact, in looking at the website tonight, I do see some changes, but still see some of the inaccurate wording on important pages like the Registration one.

I'm hoping I can get enough eyes on this and voices raised about it to get ALL the needed corrections in place. I'd hate to think any voters didn't register because of this.
