I won't be there, but marched in many a Strawberry Festival parade in a baton corps, and then went to a couple in undergrad with my Buckhannon roommate.

its been a while since i've "crossed the border." i'll be wearing black pants, so if its hot, it'll be hell
also, exactly how long is the parade?

I'd say the parade is 3 miles long. I looked on the official Web site but couldn't find the information.
As for the weather, your best bet is to check the Weather Channel the night before -- it can be quite variable. I've been at parades where it was in the 80s and others when it was 60.
