Capito to challenge Byrd for Senate seat? WTF!!
Don't know if any of you were listening to WV NPR yesterday, but they did a piece with Capito and her support among RW evangelicals. The NPR commentator said that Capito's numbers are rising in a hypothetical Byrd/Capito poll and she will decide within the next few months whether to challenge Byrd for his Senate seat. Then there were audio clips of her pumping up the Pwaise Jaysus congregation.

Have I told y'all lately how much I LOATHE and DESPISE Shelley Moore Capito? And just how could some of these RW fundies even imagine that Capito is a "better Christian" than Robert Byrd?

14. 2006 Senate Election
Here is a legitimate critique on the topic of Hiram Lewis and his 2006 Election potential that alludes to his possible motives for running. This article has already gone to number five on Google when one searches for "Hiram Lewis Election" and thus it competes with Captain Lewis's web site for traffic and hits. The article and rank is less than three days old at the time of this writing. The Link is below.

Here is another article, written to comment on my observations about the possibility of a showdown between Senator Robert Byrd, and Shelly Moore Capito, in a potential 2006 election. It makes a logical case for keeping Senator Byrd and telling Ms. Capito to wait her turn.

Comments and feedback can be made on the blog articles.

The articles I wrote are already getting good search engine exposure. The little hit counters on my blog articles do not count all the traffic from RSS feeds and all my mirror sites. Being a programmer, I know how to write in such a manner that would have maximum impact on the search engines to counter GOP digital propaganda with high impact.

2. Oh I'm sure she's already decided to run.
The local papers have been full of "Byrd doesn't represent WV" and "Byrd should retire he's too old" letters, somebody has been orchestrating a campaign to get the people to WV to consider not re-electing Byrd (something that will take some DOING in this state, the man is practically GOD among a lot of voters)

but people here are socially conservative and don't generally care about financial issues, war issues, etc. All they care about are guns, gays and God.

3. Proud member of The Loathe & Despise Capito Club
I guess the RW evangelicals have forgotten that she claims to be pro-choice, or maybe they understood it was a lie.

4. Byrd can win with help
Byrd through help from others like the DNC could destroy Capito with all of the skeletons in her and her family's closet.

This is my first reply on DU.
I'm not happy with the Democratic Party in WV right now, in fact, I'm close to going indepedendent because of the news about our chairman Nick Casey being a lobbyist for the Chamber of Commerce.
If that's the type of people leading my party in WV, folks who are out to destroy my profession (the legal profession) then I'm out.

5. Welcome, Mountaindem!
I'm in agreement with you about Casey. Every Chamber of Commerce person of my aquaintance is an active GOP cheerleader/organizer. This is not to say that all CoC persons are neocons, but Casey's ties to them smacks of a raging conflict of interest.

6. Nick Casey
I just sent an email to state Democratic party headquarters, to see if this is true, and raise an objection if it is. How in the world can we hope to gain any ground, when we are being led by someone who is beholden to this right wing organization?

8. capito-serving wv by posing for photos
with boosh-and not much else, except for cozying up to tom delay (why aren't the dems bring these ties up?!? she's the #2 recipient of his dirty money in congress)

byrd, on the other hand, has gotten more aid to this state that it otherwise wouldn't have than any other elected officicial

so tell me again, why should we switch senators?

13. The good news is that...
Edited on Sun Jun-26-05 06:36 AM by Hubert Flottz
Due to the beloved brother bush, the people in WV are going to be so upset with the GOP, that they will never vote repub again as long as they live.

Now here's the sad tale...

15. Beware the Ken Hechler effect...
Betty I'm-a-worthless-cunt Ireland beat Hechler because there was a coordinated campaign to convince voters that he was "too old". Expect to see the same with the '06 Senatorial race. I don't think that RCB has anything to be seriously concerned about, but you never know. There are a lot of our statesmen, now matter how conservative, who simply will not vote for a woman. Bigoted, but it could work to our advantage.
