Pac-Man Jones...what a sad waste of talent. |
|
Some things are just too hard to understand. This man is throwing the chance of a lifetime away. I'll never forget how great he was when he played for WVU. Every time Pac-Man touched the ball something excitingly positive happened. I keep hoping Mr. Jones will straighten his life out, but It's starting to look pretty doubtful now.
Seeing WV ranked number 2 in the country kind of eases the pain some though. This should be a great season coming up. I'm hoping it will be WV's best year ever, if the guys can just stay healthy. Lets Goooooooo Mountaineers!!!!!

1. Where do you think WVU will be initially ranked? |
|
I say top 5.
I can't wait for the first game.

I don't know where he got his information.

3. I have a brother in law who's a bigtime OSU fan. |
|
He diddn't like it because they started out last year ranked #1. Said it puts on pressure and there's nowhere to go but down. Too bad they ruined a near perfect season at the end.

4. OSU is about always a contender. |

Those long pre-bowl layoff hurt the OU team. I'm just glad old Donnie is gone! I got so tired of his running it up the middle on every first down EVERY time, for all those years. The Mountaineer offense is really FUN to watch now. If the passing game and the D can step it up just a little this year, this team should be awesome to watch.

5. Yes, they could go all the way! |

And I agree, Nieland was a total dick. He just happened to come along when the program was building up. Smash mouth = stupid. I've got respect for Rodriguez, especially since he's turned down big money to remain one of us.
But if you think back over times when our hearts have been broken so badly, the Mountaineers have had a way of getting our hopes up only to make us feel like life wasn't worth living any more. This is definitely a different sort of team so maybe this is the year. I'm hoping in particular that the defensive secondary is going to step up.
I can't wait. I'm thinking I might go to the Maryland game in person but I really think I would rather watch here in the HD home theater I've built.

There is a lot to be said for watching the big screen. No traffic jams and paying for a tank of gas and tickets. No looooong drive home when the game don't pan out. I think we might be getting OLD! And I'm getting so I can cook about as good as those Italian food places in Fairmont...I wish.
