A Personal Tour Inside Kanawha County Metro 911 Center
Coming April 14th, 2008 - KCBlog Exclusive!

A Personal Tour Inside Kanawha County Metro 911 Center. ...
Contacted by three Metro employees leads to this shocking expose'.

One 911 dispatcher actually said, "at certain times, this might be the last place you want to call with an emergency"… Two others agreed.

And, the Metro Center allegedly has a select hand picked & hired group of employees known as the "F.O.K." Or, Friends of Kent Carper. Right or wrong, if your part of the county commission presidents posse, you’re protected and rewarded over others...

One question rose above the others? Who is really monitoring the accuracy and prioritizing of emergency calls in this county?

1. Nothing New Here
Anyone who lives in Kanawha County knows that Kent Carper has hired his friends and cronies. But as for the 911 center, it is a centralized form of how things should work in a region. Less expense to the taxpayers and the service is better for it.

SOMEONE SHOULD GET KAREN FRITZ NOSE IN JOINT AND ON SOMETHING LIKE KENT CARPER IF SHE IS SO CONCERNED ABOUT ETHICS AND GOVERNMENT WORKING PROPERLY.

TALK ABOUT ABUSE OF POWER AND NEPOTISM IN GOVERNMENT

2. Not Everyone Knows
Edited on Sun Mar-30-08 10:55 AM by pwdgroup
I have to disagree with you. Most county residents do not know what is going on in metro 911. I doubt you really do either, unless you work there.

As for Karen Fritz. Dont really know much except for what is on DU. She is of no real interest to us, she is more on the local level there in Nitro. We are more interested in the top.

If you have any real evidence of a link between Ms Fritz, or any Nitro official and Carper, e-mail it to me.

3. Less expense to the taxpayers?
The last news article I read on this subject about a year ago stated that the Metro Center was costing much more than the old system did, and that's taking inflation into account. The main PRO is that all the emergency services are pretty much connected. The main CON is that the old dispatcher's knew their area much better and could respond faster. This is why the computer mapping system was needed for the new center.

4. Metro is the Way to Go
Metro is the way to go. Not only for 911 but for county school systems and other local forms of government.

I think that the state should lead the way with the consolidation of County School Systems. We no longer need 51 County Board of Educations, 51 Superintendents, 51 layers of beauracracy.

5. Wow I would listen to this group.
Isn't there 55 counties?

I bet this report is as riveting as the James Love report. One letter and a email link... hahaha

P.s. I have great distaste for Carper but this group isn't going to be the one's to bring down "the king". They couldn't even convince people about James love and he is a easy target.
