Should I cancel my subscription to the J-S? |
|
I about had a friggin' aneurysm this morning when I saw the front page. Right below the fold, they provide a tit-for-tat response by Bobby "Slumdog" Jindal to Obama's speech last night.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but did the J-S EVER give the Democrats front-page space rebut ANYTHING that ever came out of Bush's mouth, regardless of how stunningly idiotic it might have been?
For Chrissakes, should I be paying $16 a month to support an organization that's carrying water for the Republican Party?

1. Wisconsin has no more progressive daily papers. |
|
Too bad, too. Both the old Milw Urinal and the Mad City C(r)ap Times were great papers. I say dump the Urinal-Sentinel and content yourself with the Shepherd Express.

4. I was just in last week |
|
so I'm on the side lines for a couple of months.
But did you see what they did today? Two front page headines -- one about Obama's tax hike and the other on the omnibus spending bill.
Get it? Tax and Spend?
What a bunch of evil trolls they are...
My wife is not as comfortable as I am when it comes to using the internet to gather news (and would miss her morning newspaper), so I may be stuck with subsidizing their crap for a little longer.
Besides, the cat likes to jump on the table and sprawl across whatever article we're trying to read. She can't do that with my monitor!

5. I'm paying $1.99 a week! |
|
Edited on Sat Feb-28-09 08:19 PM by ginnyinWI
About a year ago I got that rate, and this month I was able to renew at the same rate. And I get more than $2 in coupons out of it in the Sunday paper each week, making it basically free.
I'd call them and ask--can't hurt. ;)
I should add that this is a 7-day a week subscription.
