Mielke looking to get his ass handed to him again by Obey in 2010.

Spurred into action by the federal economic stimulus plan, Dan Mielke this weekend will announce his candidacy for the Seventh Congressional district seat in 2010.

A sustainable farmer in Rudolph, Mielke will speak at several events across central Wisconsin on Saturday and Sunday, along with other Republican candidates and politicians.

Mielke ran against longtime Rep. Dave Obey, D-Wausau, last fall and lost by a large margin. He remained optimistic, however, saying he ran a good campaign.
