Energetic turn out today in Madison |

Edited on Tue Feb-15-11 04:57 PM by HereSince1628
I thought I'd ride a bus with AFSCME members but the group of union members at Goerke's Corners looked like it would surely fill it so I drove myself.
Walker was scheduled to be upstate but our point was made and I may never get rid of the earworm--Union busting is Disgusting!
on edit...And YES! I voted as I came back to 'tosa.

As spirited a rally as this Madison 60s-era old fart has seen in many years. At least a couple thousand of every age jamming in, raucously raising the Capitol roof, and nary a teabagger in sight. Firemen, ironworkers, meatpackers & other unions all there in solidarity with state employees. Sign held up by a vet: They sent me to Iraq to get rid of a dictator, I'm not going to tolerate one here! More of the same scheduled for tomorrow...watch out Walker, the rabble are roused!

8. There were even some non-union folks there in support - me for one. |

I spent a couple of hours in 411 watching the hearings. Then joined the gathering in the rotundra. I missed seeing the firefighters join in, but I could hear the crowds roar. The place was electrifying.
