The Dept. of Veteran's Affairs and the WI Workforce Dept. set up a job fair to be held in Wausau Oct.19 at the National Guard Armory. The focus was to be jobs for veterans. Well, little Duffy came in and co-opted the entire fair.
Duffy put his name on the job fair with no mention of the organizations that set the whole thing up. He also had it moved to the Rothschild Pavilion as it is larger than the Armory. Also the pavilion would take away any connection to the vets.
So now it has become Duffy's job fair. Any thing for a vote, except the vets are fighting mad. This should be held up to the Repuklican VFW.

1. Wow. The Vet orgs involved need to speak out about this. |
|
Until then, who will know about it or believe it wasn't Duffy's fair in the first place.
It's not like that Gannett rag in Wausau will do an ounce of investigative reporting on this.

3. Easy to prove it was the vet's fair |
|
This fair was posted some time ago on the WI Dept of Workforce Development and was listed specifically for the vets. The VFW won't touch this as they are Repukes but the American Legion might. There are a couple of truly ticked off vets posting on the Record Herald site and I don't know if they will let this go.
I plan to call Duffy's office Monday with a few questions.

4. You'd think that as a good tea-party guy.... |
|
... he'd sit back and let the market forces create jobs for vets. That's the way it should work, right?
