MUST READ! Tea Party Plans Premeditated Felony
The kick off campaign to recall embattled governor Scott Walker kicks off in just four days and with that date approaching, the tea party has plans of its own. Politiscoop has received several screen shots of tea party and right wing activists planning to pass themselves off as those circulating petitions to recall the governor.

In one facebook post a user named Charles Atlas Shrugging begins the plan by saying "I'd like to collect signatures of those who want to recall Walker...so I can have something to feed my shredder.."

In another such post Matt Wynns who claims to be a small business owner states "I shall be heating my home with recall signature. as they sign, I'll make sure to tell them not to sign another petition. I figure I can get a hundred to a few hundred signatures off the ballot. F*#&* (Word edited) Liberals.

1. I was just going to post this...
this makes me physically ill. My biggest concern are people like "Will R Jenkins" in screenshot 4 who states that he will have access to thousands of signed petitions. Sounds like he has been entrusted with them, and he plans to destroy them. Let's hope this isn't true...
Be mindful that there are people like this out there...

2. These are serious crimes. Too bad the Wisconsin AG is crooked as a double-helix...
... and the one in Washington is obsessed with state-licensed MMJ growers.

21. If it's a Class I felony, then all you need is a good DA.
My Dem DA would throw the book at them.

3. Hmmmm
Why aren't the petitions numbered, and then signed out to someone, after they get their name and the petition numbers, then they would be responsible for turning them back in, and if they did not, then I would think legal action could be taken against them for destroying them. Just a thought.

8. That sounds like a good idea. Who is in charge of this effort
maybe someone should suggest it and make sure they know about this plan to undermine it. Shows how insecure they are regarding his chances of beating this recall, though. Bunch of thugs, they can never win honestly.

11. They will be available to download from GAB internet
website also. You can sign it and mail it back to GAB.

I really do not know how a numbering system would work. But I imagine a geek (I use this word with a smile) could do it but by next Tuesday?

UDPATE]: Reid Magney, a spokesman from Wisconsin's Government Accountability Board, says destroying or defacing an official recall petition would violate state law. (Here's the relevant statute.) Such a violation, he adds, would be a class I felony in Wisconsin, which carries a maximum fine of $10,000 and up to three-and-a-half years in jail.

13. If we are properly organized
Edited on Fri Nov-11-11 06:50 PM by undeterred
we should know who is supposed to be collecting signatures at a given address. The whole ward is being assigned to volunteers. If I get to a door and somebody else has already been there they are a fake. And we are turning all of our signatures into ward captains. Somebody not following procedures will be easy to identify.

Also, we will have an ID tag. And the petitions will be on colored paper- the ones from the party. Hopefully the news will cover this.

14. I agree, but...
I worry about infiltrators. My daughter went to a recall training and recognized a couple there who opted out of their union and are very pro-Walker. She has reported them, but is curious as to why they were at the training. Were they there to report on who was attending the training or preparing to undermine the petition circulators?

Maybe they are not on the level. This is why its a lot better to talk to everyone, especially anyone signing up to circulate who is unfamiliar. Have they volunteered in the past? Are they members of the DPW? Do people in their ward know them? Are they in the voter database as Democrats?

19. Is it possible that they are this stupid?
To post their intentions to commit a crime on Facebook where it would certainly be found and publicized? Either they don't know it's a crime, or they are just trying to sow confusion and have no intention of following through.
