Walker says he's not responsible for recall effort against him

By Patrick Marley of the Journal Sentinel
Nov. 16, 2011

Madison - Gov. Scott Walker said Wednesday he is not responsible for the attempt to recall him that was sparked by this year's drawn-out battle over collective bargaining.

"We'll spend our money getting our message out," the Republican governor said at a Capitol news conference. "But we wouldn't have to spend a penny of that if there weren't recalls. This is not something we brought on."

Walker's opponents, who started gathering petitions to recall Walker on Tuesday, have said their efforts were prompted by the governor's decision to all but eliminate collective bargaining for most public employees.

Mike Tate, chairman of the state Democratic Party, said Walker was solely responsible for the recall attempt now under way.

"If he actually believes that, he lives in some sort of alternate reality because I can tell you nobody started this year with the intention of recalling anyone from office," Tate said.

1. Once again "the party of personal responsibility" is not personally responsible for anything.

2. Well said
“It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.”

That's only one of a hundred good reasons to recall this governor.

4. Nope, but I can sum it all up in two statements...
He blatantly lied to get elected and he criminally abused his power once he got into office.

7. He should change his slogan to:
"Wisconsin: It's not my fault! WAH!"

When 9,700 jobs were lost in Oct. Walker screams "It's not my fault!"
When he gets recalled (after the GOP started the recall game last round!) Walker screams "It's not my fault!"

Over and over again, like a misbehaving child, it's a constant refrain of: "It's not my fault!"

I hope he keeps it up though. I think people are starting to notice. You can only whine that nothing's ever your fault so long before the folks around you wise up and start to edge away.
