shout out to Colorado and Wyoming DUer's....
Hi ya'll-- I just got back from one of the best vacations in my life, spent mostly in northwestern Colorado (Rocky Mtn N. P., Mt. Evans, and Independence) and Wyoming (Dubois, Thermopolis, and Grand Tetons). I was visiting friends in Denver and we did LOTS of road/camping trips.

Wow-- I guess all that awesome scenery isn't photoshopped after all, LOL! I'll post some pics in a day or two-- just got in from the 22 hr drive home and after I wind down from the road I'm gonna collapse for a few hours!

1. glad you had a good trip
I hope you do get a chance to post the pictures; I'd love to see them. Those you've mentioned are some of my favorite places. RNP was always a favorite day trip whenever we'd be visiting family in Fort Collins when I was growing up. Thermopolis was about 2.5-3 hours away from the town where I grew up, and as a kid I always loved going there for the thermal pools--went there for many a weekend getaway or youth group excursion. And the Tetons, of course, are gorgeous (though most of the times I've been there I've been eager to get on to Yellowstone, which is one of my two or three favorite places on earth). It's been a few years since I've been back to RNP and even longer since I've been to the places you mention in Wyoming, but they're great memories for sure :)

Sounds like you had a lot of fun! I'm a bit jealous :) :hi:

There's a reason some of us choose to live here.

3. Glad you had a good trip!
Many reasons. They make up for the sometimes oppressively
conservative mind-set and the fact that so many public
buildings are named after the vice-president.
