reprehensor is now gainfully employed in Canada. :D |
|
So now that he'll be working full-time, and the money hemhorrage will stop, we'll be up for drinks & hanging out with the locals near Edmonton.
Let us know if a visit to Filthy McNasty's or someplace else is do-able, ya'll.

2. Edmonton in November? Yikes. |
|
It'll get much worse before it gets better. Buy a lot of warm things, and psych yourself up for February's deepfreeze.
A lot has undoubtedly changed since we departed in 1994, but I know the vicious cold remains.
Congrats and good luck!

We've been in Wisconsin for two years before the move up here. I have lots of long undies and layers and wool socks and Yaktrax and such. I'm prepared.
It's not like I'm still the same untested Texas newbie I was a few years ago. We had 30 below in Milwaukee last January.
But it has been BEAUTIFUL here so far. I've just been enjoying it while it lasts! Anywhere from -7 to like 11 or something. And not much snow to speak of. So we got up here at the perfect time!
We saw more snow in North Dakota and Montana on our way up than we've seen since we've been here. :hi:

As a fellow future Canuck, its good to hear that its not impossible for an immigrant to find gainful employment in Canada. I'm planning on moving to Vancouver in March.

5. Well, he's actually Canadian. |
|
And I came up as a spouse of a Canadian citizen. So don't get too excited yet. We'll know things are going to be OK if I can get a job when my AIP (approval in principal) comes through.
Good luck to ya!
