Mulroney's open letter to Harper via Toronto Star
Dear Prime Minister:

So you think you can dance? Around climate change?

You're clearly chuffed about flying to Copenhagen while staying under the radar – undetected and uncommitted. But if you ask me (and I know you don't bother anymore) you shouldn't be so pleased with yourself.

Even my son Ben and his MuchMusic fans and Canadian Idol groupies expect better of you. That's why I'm sending this note via the back-channel.

I know you think internationalism is never a vote winner – unless you find a wedge issue like Israel that plays in swing ridings.

1. I wish Mulroney really had written such a letter....
it would have removed a teaspoon of the slime in which he remains covered. I DID enjoy reading it nevertheless, lol!

2. If he didn't, some misrepresentation's going on.
I found the Star link via http://cornwallfreenews.com/2009/12/brian-mulroney-nails-harper-on-copenhagen-december-22-2009-editorial/

And it's "signed" by Mulroney. No mention of a parody or any such thing.

Still, it might account for why there seems to be no mention of it elsewhere.

My apologies if I posted in error.

3. Mulroney didn't write it, but I wish he had.
Martin Regg Cohn, the Star's deputy editorial page editor did it.

4. No apologies needed, I very much enjoyed reading the letter...
I did wonder how Martin Regg Cohn, who actually wrote the letter and 'signed' it with Rt. Hon. Brian Mulroney, could do that without either a disclaimer or a deliberate misspelling, etc. In reading the comments posted about the letter, it seems many believed it was written by Mulroney. Hmmmm, will Mulroney laugh or roar?
