Air Canada will face back-to-work law in case of strike
The federal government has served notice it will introduce back-to-work legislation should there be a strike by Air Canada’s 6,800 flight attendants on Wednesday, Federal Minister of Labour Lisa Raitt said Monday.

Raitt said the legislation won't be passed fast enough to prevent a strike, if it begins when the flight attendants are first legally able to walk out, at 12:01 a.m. ET on Wednesday.

"We're doing this because it is the best thing for the economy, it's the best thing to do for the Canadian public and it's the best thing to do for the airline," Raitt said Monday night.

Raitt, who met with both sides, said both the union and the airline assured her a deal was possible, but could not guarantee that there would not be a strike.

Screwing the west. Send a bunch of reformers to the trough and what happens?
They just screw West Jet. Just there to pick up all the passengers. But no. The New Canadian Government is there to run the Canadian Airline!
