Pre-election postage delays from Europe to U.S.?

Has anyone else noticed delivery delays for "normal" (not "priority") post sent from Europe to the U.S. in these last days before the election? In our instance, it's post from Switzerland to Oklahoma and Ohio, sent more than three weeks ago, and it still hasn't arrived, which is highly unusual, even for "B" post.
