Swedish Press: At least ten Swedish people confirmed killed, around 80 confirmed injured, several hundred still missing. Sources at Swedish Foreign Ministry talks about as many as 20-50 dead.

1. Ahh, the local angle!

Anyone here remember National Lampoon's newspaper thing some twenty or so years ago in which the headline was "Local Women Have Vacation Disrupted" and the fine print informed you that Japan was utterly destroyed by an earthquake.

Posted when totals and damages were less known. Now with 40.000 dead (among them appr. 200-1000 Swedes) the poor attempt at updating with a different perspective seems in really bad taste. Wish I could delete it.
