Any novels that deal with Detroit/Flint/other city and urban decay? |
|
I think that could make a very interesting mystery. The setting, I mean, of derelict buildings, etc.

But I used to work in Detroit and trust me it has seen better days...there are neighborhoods that look like warzones.
It should be a national disgrace but instead it isn't even mantioned.

3. I don't know of any books, but ... |
|
have you seen Michael Moore's documentary "Roger and Me"? It's a about GM's part in the disintegratin of Flint, and, if memory serves, it was a good documentary.

9. I always assumed that Blade Runner's location was Los Angeles, because |

of the Bradbury Building. Robocop was definitely in Detroit, and as far as books go, I have novelizations of Robocop and Robocop 3. I'm not sure about Robocop 2. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bradbury_Building

pk dick's work was strongly influenced by his long time residence in california
however the novel on which blade runner was based, do androids dream of electric sheep? is one of his weaker ones if you ask me

her novels are complex and include the folk of high society as well as the underclass
she lived in detroit and windsor area for many years
