I think Cathy in Wuthering Heights had BPD. |
|
I mean the first Catherine, the one who said, "I AM Heathcliff!"
She was a real drama queen. She was fine as long as everything went her way; when it didn't, she slapped other people around (Nellie, Hareton, Edgar), pitched fits, etc.
I used to like that book, but now it's hard for me to see why.

1. well i don't doubt it for a minute |
|
she could be borderline, she could be bipolar, obviously she has severe mental health issues
i don't have to identify w. this person (i never did) to enjoy the story, i know there are people who actually think like this and it gives me a look at their world w.out having to deal w. all the crap and drama of getting involved with them in real life
i still like this v. atmospheric book even tho i am first to admit that the characters themselves are not v. pleasant or attractive, i guess i have a liking tho for characters who are kinda difficult
better to meet them in fiction than in real life! :-)

That's a big 10-4.
