A recommendation for all horror fans.
I just finished "Let me In" or as it sometimes called "Let the Right One In." and I was very impressed. After years of crap like Twilight being the norm for the vampire genre it was a very pleasant surprise to come across this book. It was not only scary, but told a very good story with characters I actually sympathized with and could relate to especially since I've been in Oscar's shoes before. Anyway if anyone else here has read it I'd love to hear your all's thoughts and if you haven't go check it out. I personally can't wait for the movie,I've got the Swedish version on Netfix to watch this weekend at least.

1. Did you just call Twilight, "crap?"
:D

I've heard good things about "Let Me In." I just might have to check it out.

2. I'll call Twilight offensive, misogynist crap.
I've got some other words if you'd like.

3. The Twilight series seems to
be geared towards people who don't normally read.

9. Twilight
Twilight is for young teens with no desire to further themselves through reading and a subscription to Gossip Girl, Glamour, Sixteen, or something like that.

5. My 38 year old daughter felt "Twilight" was for teens ...
she couldn't get into it at all. Of course, I started her off on "Interview with the Vampire" and she loves Anne Rice's vampire series.

7. It isn't very gory
I mean there are some scenes that can get a bit gory, but not very many at all and none of it is in graphical detail either so its not like you will be reading Saw: The book.

He has a zombies in Stockholm book out. It's next in my reading pile. I really liked let the Right One in. Both movie and book.

10. I haven't read the book yet, but you definitely want the Swedish original movie, instead...
of the American remake. I completely agree about the "Twilight" books being crap.
