Didn't think I would, but I did. It's not quite so much the romance the movie trailers would make it seem.

10. The film? I don't know. |
|
But the book was amazing and I recommend it highly. I got the free first chapter from Audible and fell in love, then bought the Kindle version to actually read it.

It's an interesting, behind the scenes look at how the circus operates(ed). I liked it.

5. I downloaded the book and read it on my Kindle. |
|
I wasn't sure I was going to like the book, but I really did!! It really points out the hard life the people who work and travel with the circus live. Nothing glamorous about it. The book also showed in detail the caste system. Those who are performers are in the highest caste while the workers who pitch the tents in each city and clean and feed the animals are in the lowest caste. I plan to see the movie but I'm sure, as is always the case, the book will be better than the movie.

8. Loved the book and just saw the movie.... |

IMO, excellent. (Closed my eyes during a couple of parts, though.)

I'm a bookstore manager and in the past four years I haven't talked to anyone who didn't like the book. I have recommended it many times. I was horrified to find out Robert Pattison plays the lead in the movie, but someone who saw it said he did a good job. I'll have to block the twenty-five minutes I watched of Twilight out of my mind when I go see it.

11. I couldn't finish it. |
|
It's very rare that I don't finish reading a book...but I just couldn't get through the animal abuse. I know it's an integral part of the story..and I have since heard the ending (it was one of my book club's selections last year) but it was torture picking up the book each night.

12. I thought it was very good. The romance, eh, but I enjoyed reading |
|
about the circus and the end made me smile.

Best book I have read in many a moon. Very exquisitely structured. I haven't seen the movie but I hope it's done justice to the book.
