Can anyone recommend a good book on the Carter administration? |
|
I've read books on nearly every president since FDR, but I'm having trouble finding a good book on the Carter administration. I'd prefer something written by a reasonably neutral third party, either a historian or a journalist, but failing that a comprehensive book by a administration official would do.
One other caveat: I was born in 1980. While I have read plenty of post-Great Depression history books, remarkably little of my reading has covered the issues of the 1970's other than Watergate. So in that vein, something more issue focused, rather than personality focused, would be a plus.
