Samantha Vowell
I read "Assassination Vacation" a few months ago, now I'm blazing through "Take the Cannoli".

Wow, is she a fun writer! I also read her friend David Rakoff's book in between, and he's very funny, too. Anybody else enjoy these books?

1. She's a wonderful writer.
I especially like hearing her read the stories. Much like Sedaris.

3. LOL
Yes, of course it is. I was watching an old Daily Show with Samantha Bee on when I typed this and just totally brain-farted. Thanks.

5. Rakoff actually has the best laugh-out-loud line
in "Take the Cannolli"

He describes Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyworld as "just like the Ramble in Central Park, only without the men jerking each other off."

As I said, I've only read "Assassination Vacation", but I haven't read that one. Funny line. :-)
