BEST "political" books I've EVER read, and I've quite a few! Excellent research and a lively writing style has produced a FINE, if VERY depressing analysis of the profound effects of several generations of the Bushes, then and now, et. al.. A VERY fine read. Will be interested in your reactions to this book. Ms Bigmack

3. He spins an amazing web |
|
as he traces the career of the Bush family through 3 or 4 generations. It's kind of like reading War and Peace. There are a lot of threads to follow and it can be hard to keep track of all the names and interconnecting links. I found myself going back and forth a lot, trying to keep things clear in my mind. I recommend reading it with a pad of postit notes handy. Some connections he makes are fairly tenuous and seem to get off into tinfoil hat territory, but some of the verifiable stuff is truely jawdropping. Like a victorian novel, you can't rush it. Just let him waft you along. Have fun.

I don't think I was as impressed as I was with Kevin Phillips' book on the Bush Dynasty.
I really though Baker left alittle too much to innuendo and self connecting of dots.
I'm not saying I didn't enjoy it, just thought Phillips' book was better.
