Live Action Movie Review: Whatever Works
Whatever Works

Country of origin: U.S.A

Genre: Comedy

Story: A misanthropic and deeply cynical man tries to find a little happiness and helps people find themselves.

Acting: Pretty pretty pretty good. (<-- joke for Larry David fans) Larry David acts like Larry David scripted by Woody Allen. His character is similar to his Curb your Enthusiasm character, except even more cynical and prone to panic attacks.

Humor: I think this movie is funny, but the humor is not for everyone.

Violence: None.

Sex: Sexual themes, but no nudity or sex scenes.

Overall: I really like this movie. Whatever Works is a positive up-beat movie disguised as a misanthropic doom and gloom movie. If you are not a fan of Larry David, you probably won't like this movie. If you have ever experienced an "existential crisis", or if you are extremely nihilistic, you will probably appreciate this movie.

(The "pretty good" joke is not used in the movie, I just felt like using it in my review.)
