When did infomercials start having commercials? |
|
I was just watching an infomercial for videos of the Dean Martin show. It was actually kind of entertaining, in a retro kind of way. But they actually are having commercials played within the infomercial. Modern-day, ordinary commercials in between bits of the Dean Martin infomercial. Is this the point that we have officially reach Dystopia status as a society. Commercials sponsored by other commercials? This is unreal. Yet it is very real. My head is about to explode.

Most of what is on TV is like that whether we know it or not. Most are there to sell us something....if not a product, a way of thinking. Just look at one genra...the sit com...Every funny moment involves a lie or the covering up of a lie...but with good intentions so that it cannot be seen as wrong. And every cop show is about a cop that breaks the law or tortures someone to get the bad guy.....the end justifies the means is the overall message that is delivered.

It's mass hypnosis.

some are entertaining. Like the yudu type of things. But I saw an ad for a shark cleaner you use to clean the bathroom, the kitchen etc. I decided since I am not up to regular cleaning this would be perfect. I have watched for a week and can't find it. On line I can't find it. It is a shark cleaner and you can purchase it for 3 payments of 33 dollars. I have the floor cleaner and I love love love it.
