2. That sounds really cool. |

I have a friend who is a die hard fan of both. She's likely wet her pants by now. I like both bands and may dole out some money to see this.

7. I have a standing order with my little sis whenever Maiden tours. |
|
She's a die-hard, fan-club type of Iron Maiden fan. She got me hundred dollar pit tickets this time. (Love her!)
But I don't really ever remember Maiden having an opening band of substance. (No. Lauren Harris doesn't count...lol.)
This is a helluva bonus!

3. Dream Theater: Awesome tunes, crappy vocals |
|
I just wish they'd realise they need a vocalist who's good at singing. I love DT pieces which are pure instrumental but the poor quality of the vocals really ruins their songs for me.

5. I'll have to see this one |
|
I work nights during the week, so I miss most concerts here in San Antonio, but for once it'll be on a Saturday.
Have you seen "Flight 666" on VH1? Good behind the scenes stuff and interviews plus Maiden classics live in their entirety. They averaged 10,000 miles per day with none other than Bruce Dickinson flying the plane. When I was in a band, our singer didn't even help carry the amps, let alone drive us to gigs. In his drunken state, that was probably for the best.
