;) I guarantee most "punk" kids would not know who they are.
I guess bands who emerged in the 90s are modern punk? Shit I'm old (I'm only 33). I came of age with the Dropkick Murphys.

4. One problem with "We've Got A Bigger Problem Now" |
|
The original was about Jerry Brown. Jello was not too fond of Dems, either. I don't think he'd call himself a liberal.

7. As far as I'm concerned, all 10 could have been Clash songs. |
|
"The Call Up" "Washington Bullets" "The Guns Of Brixton" "Hate And War" "Know Your Rights" "Armageddon Time" etc...
A young singer-songwriter friend of mine was performing at a Clash Tribute benefit for a local community radio station several years ago. She'd never heard of The Clash, asked my help with music. She stole the show with an incredibly moving folk version of "Washington Bullets"...

Seriously? They're more bubble-gum than Green day is. And there are some better NOFX songs that could have been chosen, if they really wanted to put them in the #1 spot.
