My very first handmade barrette on EBAY |
|
I've been making jewelry for a long time and several months ago I decided to mess around with hair pieces. This is the first one I put up on EBAY. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270472348827&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT

putting it up took me over an hour because they changed some things. I had to get online chat to help me.
Of course I could be taking pictures right now but..........I guess I'm not.

May I offer a suggestion? The very first thing I wondered when I looked at the pictures was what the barrette was made from . . . in other words, was it paint on metal or paint on clay or painted baked plastic or something else?
From the perspective of someone with long hair (a barrette wearer), I like to know what the 'fancy' part of the barrette is made from, because it gives me a better idea of how durable it will be over the long term and how heavy the piece is, as well!
Perhaps you could add a little more detail about the materials you used?
Just a suggestion - brava for the very pretty piece and good luck with the sales!

8. I just revised the listing. You are right that I should have put up what |

it is made of and how durable. Because the ones I have made for myself need to be handled with some care and yes you can bend them if you "pinch" the sides. I also tried to explain how big they are using my hair because this particular size will not hold all of my heavy hair.
I also put up the picture that I was going to put up before I got all crazed n stuff. So there is a better picture of it there.
Thanks to all who have given suggestions!
