Iran says no execution order for apostate Youssef Nadarkhani
"Youssef Nadarkhami, the Iranian born Muslim who converted to Christianity, has been found guilty of security charges and running a brothel but no sentence has yet been passed. The Iranian judiciary deny he is subject to an execution order.

Iran’s Press TV has reported that the Iranian judiciary has not issued an execution order for Muslim born Christian convert Youssef Nadarkhani. In the face of growing international condemnation over plans to execute Nadarkhani for apostasy, the judiciary appears to have changed its position.

According to the American Thinker, Nadarkhani was first arrested in 2009 on charges of apostasy and then sentenced to death in 2010 for refusing to denounce his Christian faith. He was then removed from death row awaiting appeal. Appearing before the 11th branch of Iran’s Gilan Provincial Court in September, Nadarkhani was asked by judges to repent his beliefs. He refused to do so and was quoted by the Washington Post saying

“Repent means to return. What should I return to? To the blasphemy that I had before my faith in Christ?”

1. Instead of thanking god, why not thank the people that actually made this happen.
You know, the ones that lobbied and put pressure on Iran to do the right thing?

Please do not discount the ACTUAL work done by ACTUAL people. Thank them.

2. I don't. I thank the Christians who lobbied to protect him
Being a Christian in Muslim countries is scary.

We need to protect all of our believers.

11. Just believers?
It's OK to execute non-believers then?

13. Just keep in mind...
it was believers that were going to execute him. Not atheists.

3. So international pressure had nothing to do with it?
The clear distaste that many in the world have for harsh theocracy, known by theocrats as "godly government", had nothing to do with this man's survival?

10. And I disagree with your premise that it was mostly Christians.

The entire international community, including other Muslims, was pissed about this.

Also, as was pointed out, your OP said "Thank God" twice, emphatically, as if it were only through his divine intervention that this happened.
