How Science Saved My Soul youtube video. |
For those that characterize science, skepticism, atheism or empiricism as sterile and cold compared to the warmth of religion; this video is a rebuttal. It is very well done with high production value. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6w2M50_Xdk&feature=share

2. To be honest I got more out of watching Cosmos than I ever did in church... |
unlike in church, I actually learned something from Cosmos, and all the innumerable science programs I'm still addicted to, 32 years and ongoing. The day I stop learning, the day I stop increasing my own understanding of the universe, will be the day I die, and it will be with no regrets, and my life will represent time well spent.

3. My first scientific training was in church |
That's where I learned to be skeptical.
That's where I learned that people can lie with a straight face.
