Someone please explain to me why preseason home games are blacked out. |
No one, NO ONE sells out preseason games, except maybe the Packers. Even last week's Battle of the Bay was nowhere near a sellout, yet it was shown on TWO channels (Fox and the local Niners affiliate). But tonight? Nothing. Even the NBC station in Salinas has Tweety Matthews!

1. The Eagles sell out every game. |
Pre-season or not. The season ticket holders have to buy the pre-season games and any extras are snapped up posthaste. Hell, we get 35,000 people out to watch training camp every year. I would imagine every team with a strong fan base sells out their pre-season games.

2. Fine. Tack the Iggles on to that. |
That leaves 30 teams that don't have a prayer of selling these games out. So why do we have to suffer just because we got picked for the national Sunday night game?? :grr:
