Rick Pitino takes shots at the ACC...
Though the season has yet to begin, Rick Pitino has given conference rivalries a head start. called for the Big East to admit Temple immediately and took a jab at jealous ACC coaches in reacting to the impending departure of league partners Pitt and Syracuse. In his mind, "The ACC, namely certain basketball coaches, did not like the amount of exposure Big East basketball was getting nationally and the amount of tournament teams selected the past couple of seasons," Pitino wrote. Pitino also questioned the idea that Pitt and Syracuse would strengthen ACC football, stating the Panthers and Orange "have laid off more football staff coaches than Bank of America did with its employees last week."
