Is Wisconsin ever going to play a road game? |
|
They play their first six at home, only venturing out on the road for the first time Oct. 22..
Michigan and Illinois aren't much better, playing their first five at home. Yet all three teams have parlayed their rather imaginative scheduling into a national ranking. Wisconsin probably deserves theirs, the Wolverines and Illini..not so much.
In fact, Big Ten teams have played just five times against BCS teams on the road this year. The only victory being Northwestern’s 24-17 win at BC. Meanwhile, Iowa, Michigan State, Minnesota and Ohio State all lost..

2. That's a neutral location.. |
|
meaning, that while it may not have been a home game for them, they still haven't played an actual game on another team's home field..

8. Northern Illinois plays their home games at Soldier Field? |
|
Gee, I didn't know that. :eyes:
Anyway, Soldier Field is only a little over 100 miles from Madison.
Wisconsin has yet to play on another team's home field..case closed.

Northern Illinois makes more money by putting the game at Soldier Field. It's really their choice.
Further, Wisconsin plays four of its last six on the road, so your whole whine here is just bizarre.

15. Nah, forget about it.. |

that was probably a low blow on my part. I just can't relate to someone who would discount the benefits and potential of alternative medicine. Though perhaps I'm misrepresenting your position.
Heck, pot could be described as "alternative medicine" and it's beneficial medicinal qualities are beyond dispute. Big Pharma is alive and well and controlling the agenda..

12. How many road games has the Pac 12 won against BCS teams? |
|
I know Stanford beat Duke, but other than that, has any Pac 10 team won a road game against a BCS school? Colorado lost to Ohio State, Arizona State lost to Illinois, Washington lost to Nebraska, Arizona lost to Oklahoma State, and Oregon State lost to Wisconsin. So unless I'm missing a game (which is possible), it looks like the Pac 12 has only played one more road game against BCS schools, with both leagues winning only one game. Oregon also lost to LSU, but that was at a neutral location.
Both leagues also have some road losses to non-BCS schools (North Texas, Rice, and Army for the Big Ten; San Diego State, Houston, and Hawaii for the Pac 12).
The Pac 12 schools start their conference schedule earlier than the Big 10 does, though, so all Pac 12 teams have played a road game.
