Denver Broncos name Tim Tebow as starting QB
DENVER - The Denver Broncos have named Tim Tebow as the starting quarterback for the team. The Broncos will make the official announcement at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tebow replaced Orton and energized the Broncos and their fans before coming up short in a 29-24 loss to the San Diego Chargers on Sunday.

(snip)

Coincidently, Tebow will start in Miami on the inaugural "Gator Day" at Sun Life Stadium, which is celebrating his alma mater, the University of Florida Gators.

As a Gator, Tebow won a Heisman Trophy his sophomore year in 2007 and had a 13-1 season his senior year in 2009. In 2008, he helped the Gators defeat the Oklahoma Sooners in the BCS Championship Game, 24-14.

The fans won.

1. What happened to Brady Quinn...basically he became #2 but apparently the
right-wing Christianists pushed Teblow up to 2 again.

2. You know that "energized the team" stuff? Watch how he does when teams
get to prepare how he plays.

3. That's What I Keep Thinking
Now the next team knows how to scheme. They stop him from running around with his hair on fire and just play zone.

And, Brandon Lloyd won't make a catch like that every game. Nobody could.

7. Tebow will do just fine
Certainly better than the loser that was the starting QB. Quinn? Doubt the CFL would want that waste of a draft pick.

10. Inaugural Gator Day?
LOL. I'd like to believe we're only this moronic one time. But you never know with Stephen Ross and Co...

Next season perhaps we can honor the '71 Cowboys, '82 Redskins and '84 49ers, the three teams to vanquish Miami in the Super Bowl. It literally would make more sense than honoring the Gators in Miami.

I'm still hoping for 30 minutes of relentless booing. Season ticket holders who are Canes fans are already being asked to remain in their seats at halftime instead of departing for the lounges or concession stands.

11. Tebow starting vs. Dolphins may fill stadium but embarrass home team
<snip>

"No doubt, Tim Tebow’s promotion to starting quarterback in Denver will spur ticket sales for the Dolphins’ game against the Broncos on Oct. 23 at Sun Life Stadium, perhaps even extend to streak without a television blackout.

It will stir interest and an emotional frenzy perhaps never seen for a game between a pair of hapless teams, currently a combined 1-8.
It may lure a sellout crowd for a Dolphins team struggling mightily to fill seats. But this is a case where what’s good for the bottom line isn’t necessarily good for business.

It does set up the inexplicable spectacle of a large segment of the home crowd cheering on the visiting quarterback on the occasion of a controversial sanctioned celebration by the Dolphins that day. Imagine the embarrassment if Tebow leads the Broncos to victory as he did the Florida Gators to the national title on the same field in 2009.

It could be the final dagger for the Tony Sparano/Jeff Ireland regime and cue the chorus of crickets at Sun Life for the remainder of the season."

This is the most fucked up thing I have ever heard of. In Foxboro, the front office would be thrown out of the Luxury boxes head first if they came up with this shit !!
