Ryan Broyles, leading reciever in FBS history, out for the season with an ACL
A few weeks ago he broke the FBS record for most receptions in a career. Passed up the NFL draft last year to come back for his senior season. This season he had 83 catches, 1000+ yards and 10 touchdowns. He owns just about every receiving record at the University of Oklahoma.

Tore his ACL on a fairly mundane play this afternoon against Texas A&M. It really sucks to see his college career end this way.

2. I was simply heartbroken...
watching him crying on the sidelines. What a shame for such a good kid, let alone a stellar athlete. We're going to feel his and Whaley's losses big time.

3. ...

I'm an OU hater, but season ending injuries suck, even if its a team I disagree with. As an OU hater, I still think you guys make it to the NT game, unless Stanford(gasp) wins out.

5. I focus on history
for the most part, and OSU hasn't beaten you guys since....fall of 2002 if memory serves. You have owned them, the media is pumping OSU up, so when you guys do destroy them 50-13, you will leap frog into the NT game, unless Stanford loses. I know OU usually has their hiccups, usually against a team they should destroy(this year, it was TT), but once they have their hiccup they usually cruise through the rest of the season, then fall apart in their Bowl game.

I know you lost some good players, but usually if its not a QB injury, you guys reload and keep cruising.

6. Thanks...
this is my first football season away from Norman since 2008, and at least during that season, I only had to fight Mexican dudes for one TV in the Outback Steakhouse. Now I have to fight insane Big 10 and Notre Dame fans. They're 100x worse ;)

We usually need one thumping in order to get our house back in order. Fortunately, it came early...but lets hope that's the only one. My vet and I are going to have a wager (my vet is an OSU grad).

7. I hope you're right
I don't think I've ever said that to you on the subject of OU football before :) :hi:

8. Well, I'm honest
I hate OU, but they usually are strong, every year. They own the Big 12, I root/cheer against them, but almost all of the time they kick everyone's teeth in(Big 12). My favorite year was 2009, but it was because Bradford fell(couldn't take much joy in it, but I did my best!), you guys lost 5 times, but still made it to an after Xmas bowl, and actually beat a Stanford team that I thought would steam roll you.

I think the pollsters/bcs ptb are grooming OU to be back in the NT game, hell you guys lost to an unranked Texas Tech, and only fell 6 spots, Wisconsin lost to a top 20 team in MSU and dropped 9, and now Alabama loses at home, and they drop 1(which is a joke, but you know my feelings of the BCS).

I have a strong feeling Stanford is overrated, and they will fall, and OU will jump into the number 2 slot, when they destroy number 2 Okie State.

10. Oklahoma will lose to Oklahoma State, depriving the country of Stanford-LSU
Too many people are handicapping the Oklahoma-Oklahoma State game on traditional terms, looking at recent history. Can't do that. This is Oklahoma State's one of a kind year and they'll simply have greater intensity and desire than the Sooners. Similar to Auburn at Alabama last year. Once Auburn survived the early onslaught you could sense very early they'd find a way. In this case, Oklahoma State's path is very simple, take advantage of the Sooners' annually inept pass defense, and now a slew of significant injuries.

The SEC gets every imaginable break. The nightmare opponent is Stanford but they'll probably dodge it and pick on another bubble screen finesse defenseless farce from the Big 12.

11. As an OU hater I hope you are right about OSU winning
but I've followed OU for over 13yrs, and they usually OWN OSU, every year I recall OSU being pumped up as "this is their year" to beat OU, and as usual, they lose to OU. OSU has been pumped up every year in the Big 12, just like Texas, and like clockwork, almost every year OU kicks both teams in the teeth. To me, the pumping up of OSU is the same old same old, they pump them up so when OU beats them it gives OU clout to be in the NT game. Same with Texas, they pump Texas up, so when OU beats them they get more Clout(vice versa for Texas), and SOS cred when it comes to BCS time.

I hope OU loses to OSU, don't get me wrong, but if I had money on this game, I'd go OU, usually in my OU hate, I have to pick an uderrated worthless Big 12 team to get them, cause thats their main hiccup, they usually sleep walk into a game, and get smoked. As an OU hater I don't want them in the NT game, but as a realist I don't see how they keep them out, when they steam roll through the next few weeks, unless Stanford wins out. I have absolutely no faith in OSU, just like Kansas State, I believe OSU is the same as Kansas State, inflated ranking, so when OU crushes them, it pushes them heavily back into the NT picture.
