4. Good luck, Jim Harbaugh, but...you won't get past the Packers.
I love that the Packers have finally been able to spend quite a few years better than the 49-ers. I hated them in the 90's and then they just became a team to pity. :hi:

5. I'd normally agree with you...
but how many teams have the Whiners faced now that a lot of people said they wouldn't get past? The Giants mighty D was the latest "real" test that the Whiners would be exposed by, and we see how that turned out.

I have no idea how Harbaugh is doing it - taking a team that really isn't that different than the one that sucked last year - and I *still* can't stand the guy OR the team, but credit has to be given where credit is due. The guy knows how to make a team come together and be quite a bit more than the sum of its parts.

6. Haha, I despised the Packers with every fiber of my being back in the 90s
That Niners-Packers rivalry was something to behold. But I LOATHED Brett Favre all those years where the Niners would build a lead in the first half and then it was like Favre finally decided he would play in the second half and lead the Packers back for the win. :grr:

9. It really was something, wasn't it?
I was stuck in an airport (DTW) when the Packers finally beat them in the play offs. Looks like we might be gearing up for round two of the rivalry this year.

8. I'd be stoked for a Harbaugh Bowl
born and raised in Bawlmer, presently living in the Bay.

John's gonna have to stop choking to the likes of Seattle first, though. :puke:

10. Thanksgiving!
The Ravens have a brutal stretch playing the Bengals and the Niners within five days of each other. But the Ravens have been weird this season. They seem to play great against the good teams and awful against the awful teams.

That Thanksgiving Harbaugh Bowl is going to be intense though. Both coaches have instilled the same ground and pound style offense to compliment their punishing defenses.

11. The Ravens are home. Huge advantage in that the 49ers travel east on a short week.
Why all six teams playing on T'Giving don't have byes is beyond me.
