Online publishing award
A lot of "literary snobs" think that online publishing isn't "real" - and a lot of literary snobs think that speculative fiction isn't "real literature" either.

One online publication is out to prove the first group wrong and a bunch of speculative fiction fans are out to prove the second group wrong as well.

storySouth is an online literary journal. It's holding a contest for "best online fiction of the year" and the voting ends tomorrow (April 30). One of the stories is "There's a Hole In the City" by Rick Bowes. This story is also up for a Nebula, but winning this contest would mean a lot to him.

I happen to think it's the best story in the group, but see for yourself. The entire list is here:

Voting is here:

For more about the award and its genesis, read here:

Please go read, and vote, if you can. Support online publishing!
