Research question about cross dressing/gay behavior |
|
Hi everyone. I have a novel I'm shopping around and I wrote it about a decade ago. In it I have one of the protagonists exhibit some cross dressing in his pre teen years (in 1902) and then I have him develop into a gay character.
I realize by researching that by far not all cross dressers are gay, in fact according to most sources on the internet, few are. The cross dressing episode is pretty important in the plot and his homosexuality is the meat of the second part of the book.
I don't want to post this question in GLBT because it posts to the whole board, and was wondering if any GLBT folks here in the writers' group have an opinion. This character will eventuallly commit suicide because of a love affair that is discovered which doesn't go over well in Victorian America.
You can PM or post here, either way.
Thanks..
