Suggestions for an MD who would like to write syndicated blog/column.... |
|
to "take on the BS the pharmaceutical and traditional medical community throw out."
Unfortunately, he would want to write under a pen name since he still is in practice.
I've worked with him over MANY years; he has a great reputation in this region as a practitioner. I'm a little thrown by having to hide his identity, however, and how to market him anonymously.
Perhaps if he provides enough credible information exposing common practices that will be enough to generate interest and prove credibility?
The anonymity of the approach has me stumped since his goal is to develop a large readership and essentially have a column syndicated. If he was envisioning a Rude Pundit approach, I would understand and could work with that. ;) I think he envisions something more straightforward, yet anonymous. Can't get onto HuffPo being anonymous or writing under a pen name, can you?
All thoughts and ideas are appreciated. ;)

1. He could simply start a blog |
|
I bet his readership would increase quickly. A column might well follow.

2. There's only one way to find out, |
|
and that's for him to send a sample of his writing, maybe three or five samples, and ask them if they're interested in hiring him, but he has to remain anonymous. That's all he has to do, and remind him that negotiations only begin when the other side says "No."
I would not recommend he start a blog. That's giving it away, when, really, if he links up with a credible news source, he'll get paid, which is always fun...........................
