Been doing some short ficiton on the side |
|
yes, two hundred words here, one hundred there, when I have time.
Well just printed the damn thing and I realized just how much of a piece of rubbish it is... yes, that bad.
So if I am going to work this way I fear I will have to severely OUTLINE this damn thing before I retackle this. Then again it is a near future piece so it may be my fears acting up. I might just try some fantasy... Realize this is one hundred words here, fifty there... in between reading on enclosure acts and unions. But I need to keep my fiction muscle exercised, while I get my academic one off to moving along.

No bit of fiction will ever be stranger than the truth we live today. Having said that, keeping the fiction muscle exercised is easy if it's just about the flex. It can also be a good warm up, like opening a window.
