Just read the new nonfiction book by Palahnuik, he wrote Fightclub &

Choke among other things and let me tell you, if you are a writer, this is a great book. It's a collection of essays. In one part he talks about minimalist writing and about his favorite writers such as Amy Hemple (Hempel)Mark Richards, Tom Spanbauer and a variety of other things. All there work is available and worth checking out.

In many ways, the way he uses his discussions with friends as fodder for writing -- well, I see parallels between this and a DUer using his online friendships to fuel his own ideas.

you're the second or third person on the board who has spoken highly of this book. Palahniuk is like my favorite modern writer, so I'll definitely check this out.
